As we prepare to increase our opening hours we are looking to take on
one or more people to work in our busy Café.
Velocity café and bicycle workshop is a social enterprise in the heart of Inverness aiming to increase access to the joys that being on a bicycle, eating delicious healthy food and telling stories can bring. The café plays an integral role and our methods of delivery are uncompromising; wholesome, healthy, local food, at accessible prices, in an inclusive and welcoming space.

The job (s):
we are looking to cover 30+ hours per week. (Applicants for part time welcome)
Shifts patterns depending on applicant(s)
Opening hours;
9am – 6pm (7 finish) Mon/Tue/Wed/Sunday,
9am – 8pm (9 finish) Thursday/Friday/Saturday
We are proud to pay our staff living wage (currently £7.45 p/h)
Duties to include; opening and setting up the cafe, preparing food and drink, washing up and maintaining food hygiene standards, cash handling, stock control and closing down the café at the end of the night.
Essential
Friendly and outgoing nature,
Ability to remain calm and cheerful under pressure,
Enthusiasm for healthy sustainable food,
Hard working and reliable.
Desirable
Barista experience,
Experience of preparing and serving food,
Enthusiasm for promoting cycling and healthy sustainable living,
Knowledge of Basic Food Hygiene,
