They come in all shapes and sizes and allow users to partake in an activity which they thought was out of reach. Highland Blind Tandem Club

The Highland Blind Tandem Club was formed to create a leisure and recreation activity for blind, partially-sighted, and disabled people. The benefits of membership include being involved in a regular sports activity. Participation provides members with a means of exercise; access to the countryside; building relationships; acquiring skills and responsibility; and to be involved in an exciting sport.

Highland Cycle ability centre

The Highland Cycle Ability Centre has a range of adaptive bikes and a 1.2km traffic free track. This makes it the perfect place for cyclists of all abilities to try out the fleet of over 50 adaptive bikes, trikes and quads. Adaptive bikes can be expensive to purchase so if you are considering investing on one it is a great opportunity to try them out to see what might work for you.
